Academic advising is a fundamental part of the undergraduate experience.  Our advising is based on a developmental model that fosters a collaborative relationship between students and advisors.

This collaboration intends to assist the student in developing meaningful educational goals consistent with personal interests, values, and abilities.  The ultimate responsibility for making decisions about educational plans and life goals rests with the individual student.

Our Academic Advisors meet regularly with students, assisting them in goal setting, career exploration, selection of a major, educational planning, and course selection.  Advising, while non-prescriptive, encourages students to think critically, seek out resources, and develop action steps.
