When will I be able to register for courses?

All new students can register beginning on November 7, 2022 providing their orientation hold has been removed. Student orientation holds will be removed within a few hours of completing all of the components of the pre-orientation modules. Once students have have completed all of the modules and submitted the final quiz, their hold will automatically be removed within a few hours. If it has not been removed, students should email soardos@uncc.edu.

What is considered full time status?

12 credit hours is considered full time for undergraduate students. Most students will average 14-16 credit hours each semester to stay on track for graduation. First-year students, check the Registration Guide for the major(s) you are interested in for course recommendations.

Why am I getting an error message for a first-year course I want to take? (examples: ENGR 1201, BUSN 1101, COMM 1101, EDUC 1100)

Many majors on campus restrict certain courses to students enrolled in that major only. If you would like to check to see if you are eligible to declare a certain major, you can call Admissions at 704-687-5507. Otherwise, you will need to wait until you declare that major to take certain courses. First-year students, check the Registration Guide for the major(s) you are interested in for course recommendations. Other common error messages are explained on Niner Central’s website – click on Registration Add Errors.
